Principal, Agile Transformation Coach
Be an integral part of the Global Operations and Technology Strategy (GOTS) group at BNY Mellon and help build the future of technology in the firm. GOTS is spearheading the adoption of Agile, DevOps, and business-aligned product delivery, and instituting long-term, transformative changes, while evolving Technology's multi-year Operating Model and the Technology Strategy Master Plan. To enable growth at scale, we are delivering superior Technical Documentation for the changes to our strategy, operating model, and tools, to drive the adoption of shared services, enterprise frameworks, and components, and to support end-users and customer. Job Responsibilities The Principal Technology Strategist for BNY Mellon's Agile Transformation will be at the forefront of the firm's evolution. In this role you will be the driving the firm-wide Agile transformation strategy, helping the firm to make data-driven decisions for the most optimal agile outcomes. Help organize and drive the Agile Transformation for the firm Gather and analyze data from many sources (production tools, human resources, surveys, etc.) to inform the firm's Agile Strategy Develop agile measures of success and report on them to stakeholders throughout the agile transformation Identify trends, strengths, weaknesses, and outliers as the agile transformation progresses Manage vendor relationships and their resources working onsite Oversee the Agile Maturity assessment and ongoing data monitoring Publish and Maintain Agile best practices in a central repository Partner with Enterprise Change and Portfolio to implement new Agile standards in our DLC Partner with DevOps leads to ensure that our Agile and DevOps practices work hand in hand Provides technology direction for the business units supported. Contributes to the development of an overall technology plan and development roadmap that will support the growth planned across the IT organization. Designs, performs and oversees a wide range of larger scale strategic projects, directing and formulating recommendations and obtaining stakeholder buy-in. Provides solutions to complex business problems for areas of responsibility where analysis of situations requires an in-depth knowledge of organizational objectives. Utilizes comprehensive knowledge of multiple areas within technology to achieve project objectives. Guides and consults with teams during technical planning process. Creates and communicates business case for emerging technologies. Identifies important technology areas for development. Remains aware of contemporary concepts in IT strategy and management. Defines analytical frameworks for visioning and assessing strategic options. Contributes to the achievement of area objectives. Qualifications Preferred Qualifications Very strong analytical skills, as well as advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills; experience with SQL a plus Demonstrated ability to tell a story and influence through visualization of data Experience with tools such as Confluence, JIRA, and PowerBI preferred Proven experience in leading complex initiatives Bachelor's degree in business or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience 8-10 years of related Agile experience preferred; experience in technology or the financial services industry is a plus Ability to learn new technology quickly, demonstrated by experience in an engineering environment Strong team player with outstanding communication, organization, and collaboration skills Values and Competencies: Passion for Excellence - Driven by a deep sense of purpose, we act with urgency in setting deadlines, use our grit and resourcefulness to overcome obstacles, and cut through red tape to deliver on time-every time. Bachelor's degree in business or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required, advanced degree preferred 10-12 years of related experience required, experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
