We are looking for an MQ Messaging Analyst.
BNY Mellon is looking to implement a first class messaging service which will include user enabled self service automation as well as comprehensive metrics and analytics for a more efficient and proactive "run the plant" function. Additionally, we desire to build out a messaging ecosystem that will uplift the capabilities within our data centers both lowering the total cost of ownership as well as increasing the capability.
Implementation of a "cloud ready" messaging platform that can coexist harmoniously both intra and extra BNY Mellon datacenter and provide integration points with existing BNY Mellon messaging solutions. Responsibilities
•Engineering and Support/Administration of enterprise wide MQ messaging infrastructure on both distributed & Mainframe platforms.
•Work with application development teams providing support of middleware components.
•Define and maintain middleware standards and governance including MQ and API administration and utilization.
•Utilize industry standard technologies & methods to insure the integrity & recoverability of MQ based applications incl. but not limited to: backup & recovery, clustering, security, patch management, enterprise monitoring & performance tuning.
•Perform strategic analysis and design of MQ infrastructure and makes recommendations on improvements and/or new systems required to meet business needs and future capacity.
•Prepare and maintain professional documentation required to run and maintain the environment.
•Automation of processes and development of tools to support the engineering and operation functions.
•Participate in regular on call rotation, providing 24x7 support meeting business SLA's
•Subject Matter Expert for Enterprise messaging products.
•Contributor to the enterprise messaging strategy.
•Partner with the business, production services and application development teams to implement messaging solutions.
Principal Infrastructure Operations Analyst->> Designs, implements, integrates, and provides full support for complex software in a multi-tiered, multi-platform environment. Advises specialists on areas to focus installation and support efforts. Works with the Senior Principal to ensure operations are consistent with LOB and organization wide goals. Identifies and solves highly complex and critical systems related issues to meet the objectives for the corporation. Participates in software strategic planning and consulting on platform selection, version implementation, software product recommendation, and usage of enhanced functionality. Tracks installations, modifications, and support efforts to ensure goals are being met. Implements, integrates and provides support for middleware software in a multi-tiered, multi-platform environment, dealing with development projects that have a broad impact across the organization. Provides consulting expertise in identifying and solving highly-critical middleware issues and serves as a resource on middleware issues related to policies and standards that impact middleware specialist and application support staffs across the corporation. Communicates with internal and external system users to address concerns and make sure that technical issues are dealt with appropriately. Manages ticket queues and handles highly complex escalated issues. Analyzes repeat incident patterns to identify opportunities for cost reduction and productivity enhancements. Manages relationships with vendors and works with them to ensure efficient incident resolution. Contributes to the achievement of area objectives. Responsible for budget activity. Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience is required, advanced degree is preferred.
- Ten to twelve (10-12) years of related infrastructure experience is required.
- Experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
- Administering and supporting IBM MQSeries ondistributed and/or Mainframe platforms.
- JMS based Messaging implementation experience.
- Operations and/or Engineering of large scale Banking Messagingeco-systems.
- Java (or similar language) experience is preferred.
- Python (or similar) experience is preferred.
- Linux experience is preferred.
- Software provisioning and/or configuration management tools(experience with Ansible is particularly desirable.
- Performance testing and tuning experience is preferred.
