Proposal Sales Support Specialist, Enabling Manager - Remote

Role Description:

This individual will be responsible for leading and owning workstream initiatives to enhance the delivery capabilities of the team. The Sales Support Specialist will work directly within the Proposal Factory, supporting the broader PCOE members and other pursuit teams across the U.S. Consulting business.

Job Responsibilities

Manage proposal development activities
  • Liaison directly with Senior Managers, Directors, and Principals across the US Consulting business to support proposal initiatives
  • Serve as a developer and reviewer of draft content and be responsible for quality assurance
  • Support across all Consulting portfolios, and also serve as a specialist with narrowed focus on the content and relationships within that specialty area
  • Serve as a leader and mentor to junior team members
  • Be committed to continuous improvement as we establish and grow the virtual support model
Develop, lead, and serve as the responsible party for various Proposal Factory developed assets
  • Facilitate collection, review, editing, and upload of pursuit content for inclusion in the PCOE content repository (Qvidian)
  • Facilitate the continuous improvement of sales content
  • Execute review procedures to keep content current and accurate
The Team

The U.S. Consulting Pursuit Center of Excellence (PCOE) team works with client pursuit teams to refine the sales strategy, establish and execute an organized pursuit plan, and deliver a high quality and innovative proposal and orals presentation. Value is delivered through challenging and improving the sales process to free the client service team to focus on the client problem and our solution. To extend services more broadly across Consulting, the PCOE established a virtual sales support organization, called the Proposal Factory.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Communications, English or another business-related field
  • 5+ years' experience in proposal writing
  • 8+ consulting sales pursuit and proposal development
  • Demonstrated exceptional writing skills
  • Ability to synthesize multiple sources of information into clean, succinct paragraphs
  • Prior experience analyzing and interpreting sales related questions and inquiries
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Experience working with Qvidian
  • Remote Position; Must live in Eastern or Central Standard Time Zone
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree
  • Consulting Research and writing background
  • Former Consulting client service backgrounds, combined with 5+ consulting sales pursuits
  • Strong understanding of the service offerings within Deloitte Consulting
  • Experience in or with an RFP department
  • Proposal Management Certification
