Quality Assurance Analyst - Information Technology New York
Within SOCIETE GENERALE's Corporate and Investment Banking arm, the MARK department focuses on all asset classes including equity, equity derivatives, forex, credit, commodities products and services. The ITEC department is the Information Technology department of SG within the Investment bank. It provides global solution with in house developments support its operational processes and secure its business growth. ITEC is a worldwide entity spread across Americas, Asia and Europe. It is composed of Project Managers, Business Analysts, Developers, Quality assurance and Application Support representatives.

Profile Required

The ITEC/EMM team is developing and maintaining exchange connectivity and high performance front office systems. All development are leveraging on a common framework developed in Americas, Asia and Europe.
A Quality Assurance Analyst within the ITEC/EMM team needs to be familiar with market structure across various asset classes. This includes knowledge of market regulation (FINRA, SEC, CFTC, SRO rules, etc) and market functional analysis.
The Quality Assurance Analyst will be responsible for testing our Electronic Market Making (EMM) trading platforms verifying core functionality, data accuracy, performance, and STP. Successful candidates must have excellent Quality Assurance experience in testing trading platforms in the Fixed Income markets. The role requires a strong ability to work independently and coordinate testing efforts with various groups including Development, Support, and Business.
MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES
Day to day responsibilities include but not limited to:
Write test scenarios and test scripts based upon Product specification documents and business user interactions as well as create test scenarios based on understanding of systems in order to Integration testing, regression test, new functionality and stress/performance conditions
  • Build test repository and document all test cases
  • Create automated test cases where possible
  • Document test progress and incident tracking
  • Perform functional, integration, and performance testing of trading applications
  • Execute test cases and execution suites
  • Track issues found throughout QA lifecycle
  • Setup test environment and configuration files to perform integration testing
  • Use database scripts to execute and validate trade data
  • COMPETENCIES
    Required:
  • Expertise as Quality Assurance Analyst or Business Analyst in Global Investment Bank.
  • Knowledge of Market Structure across various asset classes (equities, derivatives, commodities, forex, and fixed income).
  • Skills in interfacing with business clients (front office, middle office) to comprehend and document business requirements and their priority as well as develop technical or user process solutions.
  • Skills in interfacing with teams of developers, solid familiarity with major SDLC approaches (accent on Agile methods family).
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, commitments and projects.
  • TECHNICAL SKILLS
    Required:
  • Knowledge of Client/Server Electronic Trading applications
  • Knowledge of various QA testing tools and automation
  • Competency in SQL
  • Knowledge of FIX & Binary Connectivity
  • Knowledge of UNIX, LINUX and Windows
  • Knowledge of trading and brokerage operations - front to back
  • Python or Perl scripting experience (or equivalent) a plus
  • Strong communication skills a must
    PRIOR WORK EXPERIENCE

  • 7 year + in an investment banking
