Reputational Risk Analyst - AVP - VP #113114

Primary responsibilities include:
This role offers an opportunity to become an integral member of the Reputational Risk team in the Americas and to support the Managing Director who acts as the America's Reputational Risk Approver ("RRA"). The Reputational Risk Review Process (the "RRRP") is the process by which the Bank evaluates reputational risk and identifies whether, and if so, on what basis, to pursue or execute a particular action or transaction; it is further defined in the CS Global Policy on Reputational Risk (GP-00103).

The role will provide the successful candidate with broad exposure to proposed transactions and/or clients across Global Markets, IBCM, and IWM Asset Management across all of the Americas. The candidate will have the opportunity to develop product and institutional knowledge, risk management and analytical skills, and will have meaningful opportunities to develop a broad network across the firm. The role also involves interaction with many subject-matter experts (e.g. Sustainability Affairs, General Counsel, Compliance, etc.) as well as the global Reputational Risk teams.

The role will enhance the Americas Reputational Risk team by:

  • Assisting deal teams in the documentation of proposed transactions;
  • Working with the Reputational Risk team, and other control functions, to challenge and analyze the key risks for decision-taking, ensuring proposals are in line with CS's Risk Appetite;
  • Assisting in the reporting, conditional approval tracking, minute taking and other administrative tasks, as well as executing global Reputational Risk governance initiatives and various strategic projects;
  • Representing Americas Reputational Risk to regulators and/or internal audit as required and responding to any inquires in a timely fashion.

You Offer

  • Financial services background with 3-7 years of experience with a broad understanding of various banking businesses;
  • Transaction experience highly desired, including from Risk, Legal, and/or Compliance perspectives;
  • A quick learner with the ability to work independently;
  • Solid interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills with an easy-going temperament;
  • A practical common sense thinker with solid risks and controls mind-set;
  • Well organized with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines;
  • Ability to act confidently when communicating with senior management; and
  • Knowledge in Microsoft Office (especially PowerPoint and Excel).
