Technology & Operations
Technology & Operations is the backbone for both the client lifecycle and the investment lifecycle. The group's Follow the Sun Model ensures that the firm's operations are consistent and efficient across all investment products, client channels and regions, helping to deliver an outstanding client experience and drive scalability. Technology & Operations is driven by a global network of Operating Centers of Excellence, which centralizes knowledge and equips support teams with the data and timely information needed to innovate and deliver on behalf of internal partners and clients.
BlackRock's Technology & Enterprise Service Group seeks to provide BlackRock Employees with robust technology infrastructure and strategic workplace solutions to deliver a consistent employee experience around the world, while handling information security and data integrity. Teams aligned to support the firm's functions.
Enterprise Services is responsible for leading BlackRock's Real Estate planning, Facilities Operations, Security, Travel, Business Continuity, Health & Safety executive support. These areas are covered through four functional groups that include:

Executive Technology Support
Collectively, these teams provide a wide range of support to our CEO, President and Global Executive Committee. This is a high-profile position that requires regular interaction with our executives and the various teams and personnel that support them.
The role requires a combination of executive presence and the ability to lead and coordinate activities across private aviation, security, technology and our executive offices in a manner where quality is the baseline expectation. The leader of this team must be able to articulate and drive strategy while also being involved in the smallest details. They must be able to connect with, engage and collaborate with senior leaders and their executive assistants. In addition to leading the functions, the leader must also be ready to step in and deliver as part of the team when required.
The role requires a high degree of availability and must be available to answer calls and respond to requests 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.
In order to succeed in this role the successful applicant will require excellent judgment, a polished executive presence, be able to rapidly adapt to our corporate culture, have very strong written and verbal communications skills - especially when under pressure and when things go wrong, and be able to collaborate with a wide range of partners that have strong personalities and vary from very junior to very senior.
The successful candidate will have a successful track record supporting senior executives and their administrative staff.
The ideal candidate will have leadership experience that involves supporting high level executives and a preference will be given to candidates with experience in security, aviation and technology. An ideal candidate will also be a subject matter in at least one of these areas.
Experience should also include the planning and execution of trips and events, managing emergency situations including security threats and having a keen understanding of executive logistics, contingency prioritization and response when things do not go as planned.
The individual must be able to balance the need to communicate effectively with the need to protect confidentiality and security. The successful candidate will have previous experience working with senior executives, will have traveled extensively and have a good awareness of geo-political issues.
Additional experience and requirements include:
Requires a minimum of 10 years-experience working with senior executives
A strong network across security / executive support personnel at peer financial institutions
A strong law enforcement network, especially in New York City where our headquarters operations are based
Must be technologically proficient and able to provide ad-hoc support for very routine technology issues
The position is based in New York City. Candidates must live in the NYC metropolitan area. No relocation assistance will be offered.
Must be available during early mornings, evenings and weekends to respond to unexpected emergencies and executive requests
Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree preferred.
