The P&A Lead Analyst will report into the Finance Lead for the Rewards portfolio, the candidate is responsible for the financial management of Citi's No Fee Rewards portfolios supporting the Rewards and PPM business heads. The No Fee Rewards portfolio, consisting primarily of Thank You Preferred, is one of Citi's largest and most complex Proprietary portfolios. The candidate will work cross-functionally with Marketing, Risk, Accounting, Decision Management and Finance to determine the strategy for the Rewards No Fee products, as well as being responsible for achieving financial commitments. The analyst will support strategic decision making through insightful analysis, forecasting, and business case development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the No Fee Rewards product team through analysis, forecasting, planning and business case development. Provide all aspects of financial oversight including budgeting, reporting and planning. Work with Product leadership to manage strategic and financial issues and to achieve all financial goals and targets and understand financial trends.
  • Insure expense control, monitoring and budgeting.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Business leadership to assess business drivers, P&L performance and to maintain a high standard of controls.
  • Develop analytical frameworks and create business cases to support financially sound strategic decisions for product related investments, Revenue initiatives, new product and initiative launches and changes to customer product offerings and pricing.
  • Deliver on product portfolio financial objectives including Revenue and Expense goals.
  • Closely monitor and analyze the performance of the No Fee Rewards portfolios versus forecast and business case. Communicate performance to Card and Finance Senior Management and provide clear, timely updates through periodic business reviews. Analyze actual profitability performance and update management on expectations.
  • Represent Finance at Business meetings.
  • Create an efficient business and reporting framework and manage production of accurate, timely financial reporting.
  • Prepare decks for Senior Management with insights on product portfolio performance.
  • Along with business partners, drive key strategic initiatives.


  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, professional accounting certification and/or MBA preferred
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in financial services, preferably in a large complex organization with responsibilities across multiple businesses
  • Excellent financial excel modeling skills with the ability to drive top down strategic and operational plans
  • Conversant in accounting, treasury, tax and legal implications with regards to decisions being made on product financials
  • Ability to build strong relationships and interact at all levels in the organization
  • Strategic thinker with ability to work independently with business partners
  • Strong influencing skills and ability to work through conflicts
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication (written, presentation, verbal) and leadership skills with a strong attention to detail
  • Proven process management skills
