In the process, they encounter new cyberrisks and an increasingly sophisticated cyber threat terrain. The work we do tohelp them address cyber risk is increasingly important to their success - andto the strength of the economy and public security.

The Externship

Thetwo-day Externship will engage participants in several workshops, highlight theGPS practice, provide networking opportunities, and expose participants toDeloitte's culture and recruiting process. At the end of the Externship, allparticipants will be able to interview for full time opportunities for thefollowing year. The event will be held in Deloitte's Rosslyn office in August.


Work You'll Do
As a Cyber Consultant, you'll work with our diverse teams ofleading professionals to help design and implement solutions to some of today'stoughest cyber challenges, so they can manage operational risk. You'll build on yourfoundations in Information Technology and Business to design and implementbusiness-aligned cyber risk management programs, processes, and solutions thathelp clients focus their investments on key information technology risks.

Specificareas of work could include:
• Deployingvarious technologies to establish data privacy and security controls
• Helpingto improve application security
• Managingsystem and software vulnerabilities
• Establishingmethods for securing connected or "smart" devices
• Developingadvanced cyber monitoring and security analytics solutions
• Establishingcyber crisis management capabilities
• Designingand delivering business-focused cyber wargames to prepare our clients withadvanced techniques for responding to continually evolving cyber-attacks
• Providingcyber forensics and incident response support

Qualifications
Required:
• Bacheloror Master of Science/Business Administration with a concentration in computerscience, information systems, information security, math, decision sciences,risk management, engineering (mechanical, electrical, industrial) or otherbusiness/technology disciplines
• Abilityto work independently and manage multiple projects/assignments/responsibilitiesin a fast-paced environment
• Demonstrated leadership and strong verbaland written communication skills
• Demonstrated problemsolving and critical thinking skills
• Travel up to 80% maybe required, dependent on role and location

• Must belegally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employersponsorship, now or at any time in the future and ability to obtain a USsecurity clearance.


Preferred:
• Strongacademic track record (minimum GPA of 3.2)
• Relevantwork experience or work experience in a professional environment (e.g.internships, summer positions, school jobs)
