SVP - Regulatory Controls Program

Location:  New York, NY, USA
Salary: $190 +

My client, a top International Investment Bank with premises across Manhattan require a former audit professional to join a centralized regulatory controls office. Your primary responsibility will be, alongside a group of talented juniors, to manage the regional regulatory findings which are delivered to both the internal board and various regulatory bodies.

My clients preference is to find former auditor, highly versed in governance, controls and the presentation of highly classified and business critical reports, responses and documents.  As well as policing the findings being delivered, you will need to ensure the clarity and aesthetics are suitable for the board of directors, internal bulletins and various regularity bodies including the FED, FDIC, FinCEN, FINRA and OCC.  Applicants must be highly diligent, able to effectively monitor actions, make key decisions and assume control of ongoing statement release standards across the entire team. We are looking for candidates with excellent communication skills, as this position will require ongoing c-suite interaction.  

 

Experience from a Big Five Audit firm would be advantageous:

  • KPMG
  • PricewaterhouseCoopers / PWC

  

You will be expected to understand the regulatory landscape, in order to instil a greater level of transparency and control over issue escalation and resulting decisions and actions.

 

You will be responsible for preparing risk and control assessments for all the regulatory bodies that this team support, both regionally and globally.  This is a value add proposition and is an opportunity for a seasoned Vice President to gain the platform to progress their career rapidly. This is not a simple controls and governance mandate, as it provides a unique opportunity to interact with senior business leaders on daily basis and have your reports used in critical CEO briefings.

 

We seek an individual with a rounded personally, able to flourish under pressure, with strong interpersonal skills, experienced in managing teams and is able provide multiple examples of producing detail originated work throughout their career.

 

We require candidates comfortable in engaging with senior business stakeholders, able to coordinate with the entire business top to bottom.
