Securities Lending Trading System Developer

The Morgan Stanley Securities Lending business is an industry leader and its technology team is looking for a talented developer to work on its high performance trading systems. Candidate must have a desire to take full ownership of every aspect of the SDLC on assigned deliverables, from requirements and analysis through testing and deployment. Candidate must be a hands-on developer, ideally with front-to-back agile development experience. They will be expected to work closely with the Securities Lending trading desk to gather requirements, innovate and architect solutions.

The application provides traders with a sophisticated suite of decision and analytic functions, allowing them to manage and execute high volumes of transactions in an automated fashion. The environment is fast-paced and business-focused. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of programming experience in Java and/or functional programming with Scala as well as experience in HTML5 frameworks such as Angular. All candidates must have good analytical and communication skills.


Skills Required:
-3 years of experience in systems development
-HTML5 frameworks such as Angular
-Excellent written and verbal skills
-Familiarity with Agile methodologies
-Relational database design and SQL
-Multithreaded programming

Skills Desired:
-Event-driven systems
-Knowledge of Securities Finance (Securities Lending, Secured Funding, Prime Services)
