Senior Business Analyst

Location: New York, NY, USA

  • Identify opportunities for improvement (e.g. for operating effectiveness and efficiency), conduct process analysis, and support the implementation of tactical/strategic solutions to address business needs
  • Work with users to develop and document requirements, design new features, and examine issues for web applications. Transform business requirements to functional requirements
  • Use Business Intelligence (BI) tools such as Tableau and contribute to the Enterprise Reporting Framework (ERF). The team is one of the Centers of Excellence (CoEs) for ERF
  • Create Issuer Survey templates and document the process
  • Communicate effectively with both business contacts and software engineers. Provide project support on key, strategic cross- LOB projects
  • Coordinate and collaborate with various functions/teams to create and enhance management reporting, such as quarterly reports and SLA reporting
  • Identify and analyze risks/problems and recommend solutions
  • Conduct or participate in ad-hoc analyses, presentations, and special projects as needed


Operations Data & Controls

  • 4-6 years of related work experience
  • Bachelor's degree in business (e.g., Finance, Economics) or Computer Science. Master's degree preferred
  • Strong Business Analysis skills
  • Knowledge and capability to effectively liaise with business and software engineers on technical issues related to application, servers, databases
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • Self-starter who is highly motivated and organized, with a focus on quality and attention to detail
  • Effective time management and prioritization skills. Able to drive project delivery on time
  • Strong MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio skills
  • Knowledge of SQL, SharePoint, web applications, and business intelligence tools such as Tableau preferred
  • Knowledge of agile project development
