Position Summary
Deloitte's Financial Risk Transformation and Restructuring team seeks an Advisory Consultant/Senior Consultant in New York, NY or Jersey City, NJ.
 
Work You'll Do
Advisory Consultant/Senior Consultant in Technology Risk to support asset managers in designing and implementing financial technology solutions. Working with hedge fund and private equity clients to build financial cash flow and allocation models on new technologies including Deloitte's proprietary Cascade Suite. Build reports using Crystal Reports and SSRS and ad-hoc queries in SQL. Prepare and present complex written and verbal materials such as reports, findings, and systems training. Help clients streamline operations, automate tasks, and improve processes in their finance, accounting, and operations functions. Advise clients on tailored solutions for their regulatory reporting and infrastructure needs.  Be on the forefront of new technology in the hedge fund and private equity space.
 
 

Requirements
o Bachelor's (or higher) degree in Accounting, Finance, Management Information Systems, or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent).
o Experience in the alternative investment marketplace;
o A solid understanding of database systems and financial technologies (such as Investran, Geneva, and Yardi);
o A background in interpreting legal documents (such as LPAs) along with an understanding of common fund structures;
o Understanding of capital calls, distribution notices, and priority of payments in the alternatives space;
o Strong comfort with Microsoft Excel, SQL, or Oracle;
o Experience improving business processes and modeling/translate financial concepts;
o A keen interest in technology and alternative investments.
