As the Senior ESG Analytics and Investment Specialist, you will be exposed to a wide range of aspects of Sustainability in asset management. The focus is to further build-out the Firm's ESG analytical and risk management framework and enhance the Firm's reporting and impact measurement capabilities. This requires a high degree of analytical activities in close collaboration with the Investment Division, Risk Management, and the Client Reporting team.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Further build-out and lead DWS's ESG assessment framework for private markets

  • Support enhancements to the liquid market's ESG assessment engine

  • Support efforts within the Investment Division to produce further ESG profile reports, scenario analysis, taxonomy reporting, and impact measurement

  • Support the development of new ESG and impact investment products

  • Maintain external relationships with ESG data providers, think tanks/academics, NGOs, and the rating agencies, to ensure DWS data sets, assessment methodologies, policies, and procedures remain best-in-class

Your Skills and Experience:

  • A Bachelor's degree or above from a leading university

  • Previous relevant work experience with strong background in ESG analytics / portfolio management and global markets trading, and/or structuring

  • Solid understanding of the Asset Management industry and the corresponding value chain. Solid understanding of the US and European financial and sustainable finance regulatory environment

  • Deep understanding of ESG risk and opportunity assessment and an understanding of sustainability reporting frameworks (i.e. TCFD, SASB)

  • Proven track record in completing investment transactions throughout the deal or product's life cycle either in asset management or in corporate and investment banking
