Senior Software Engineer
Markit WSO is the industry leader in leveraged loan and high-yield solutions and provides comprehensive products and services for portfolio management, administration, reporting, and analysis.
This role requires an energetic and results-driven individual with demonstrated ability to maintain relationships with internal and external groups. Must possess the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and the ability to manage more than one task simultaneously. Ideal candidate must possess a mixture of financial and technical knowledge. SQL, API and SDLC knowledge (from scoping requirements to implementation) are strongly preferred.
Duties & accountabilities
Employee will work with the Notice Manager product team to develop new products and features as well as provide support and maintenance for existing product offerings. Some projects will require collaboration with other Markit products such as Markit Clear, WSO Services, WSO Software. Additional work will be required to leverage AWS based technologies to enhance the current product set and prepare the product for a move into the cloud. Development will include all aspects of software coding and design. Most development is C# based but will include a future looking focus on AWS technology stacks such as SQS, Lambda, Containerization, etc.. Product components contain a mix of Rest APIs, WCF services, Soap webservices, Windows Services, hosted services, Winforms, etc. and primarily utilize SQL 2014 for database technology with new functionality having recently been created using GraphQL, SQS, Lambda functions and Aurora DB.

Education and experience
Understanding of financial products preferred

Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.
