  • Identifies, analyzes, monitors and minimizes most complexareas of control testing, control and risk education, and operational and risksupport activities to the business and manages projects to adjust or createcontrols required to meet regulatory and corporate expectations.
  • Willperform Information Technology based internal control and SOX compliancereviews in accordance with professional standards to ensure that internalcontrols are appropriately designed and operating effectively.
  • Leads projects/analyses and may assignwork to other team members.
  • Leads the control and risk management testing andreporting including Error / Near Miss analyses.
  • Operating with a high degree ofindependence, conducts analyses and leads projects to improve internal controlsthat keep up with regulations and corporate standards.
  • Ensures that existingcontrol practices and procedures are documented.
  • Works with the business tounderstand the controls currently in place to minimize risk.
  • May help designand deliver risk management training programs to ensure that proper controlprocedures are understood and followed.
  • Reviews documentation for evidence ofsuccessful and efficient performance of control procedures.
  • Identifiesdeficiencies in data systems and creates processes to improve defenses.
  • Assistsin analyzing technology and market trends to determine potential resultingrisks to the organization and how to address risks across businesses.
  • Maysupervise the work of junior control professionals.
  • Contributes to the achievementof area objectives.
  • Supports multiple, complex projects and owns projecttimelines.
  • Provides input into the development of controls and protocols forthe function.


Bachelors degree orequivalent combination of education and work experiencerequired. Advanced degree preferred 5-7 years of total work experiencepreferred. CISA, CIA or other relevant certification preferred. Experience inthe securities or financial services industry is preferred.
