The Enterprise Computing Storage Operations Level 3 team is responsible for maintaining and protecting business data using a combination of the latest innovative technologies and operational tools.
The core function of the Enterprise Computing Storage Operations Level 3 team is to serve as the highest level of escalation for the Level 1 Command Center and Level 2 operational teams.
Provide level 3 escalation support for in house developed software and 3rd party products for a large global distributed environment.
Proactive health & hygiene tasks to maintain operational stability and compliance for risk & control programs to ensure the production environment is not put at risk. We collaborate with engineering teams to test and certify new hardware & software products and engage with clients to understand business demand, needs & support during outage scenarios.
Adaptability and ingenuity are key, as this role will leverage the candidates ability to identify inefficiencies and create automation's for repeatable tasks.
As part of this role, there will be required weekend availability as part of a rotational oncall escalation support.
3+ years relevant technical experience supporting Storage infrastructure, and related services:
Fiber Channel SAN. Brocade experience a bonus.
Volume management software. Veritas vxvm/storage foundation a bonus.
Storage Array technologies and concepts
Solaris and Linux Administration(Red-Hat)
Netapp Ontap 7/8/9 and related Netapp hardware. Cdot & 7mode
Strong Oral and written communication skills
Scripting proficiency(Perl, Python, Shell)
