Systematic Advisory Sales (SAS)
Morgan Stanley's Systematic Advisory Sales (SAS) team is currently looking for an experienced and motivated individual to join their team. SAS is responsible for central marketing and distribution of Morgan Stanley's Quantitative Assets (MSQA) to our institutional clients. MSQA seeks to enable and enhance our clients' investment strategy, security selection, portfolio analytics and construction, trade implementation, and risk management. MSQA comprises of, among other things, Research, data services, trading products and analytics, quant(amental) content and broad consulting services.
Responsibilities:
This role offers a unique opportunity for the right candidate to gain client sales and coverage experience, while advancing their knowledge of our client's investment process across various strategies and collaborate broadly across the firm to drive mindshare and market share. Specifically, in this role, the candidate will:
  • Be responsible for both client sales/coverage (quant, discretionary and platform accounts) and new product development in collaboration with client-facing and product teams
  • Collaborate with various internal Research and Sales and Trading teams to actively manage ongoing client relationships and asks, with the goal to increase client penetration and firm's wallet share
  • Help manage the team's relationship with third-party firms in the FinTech and Data Analytics communities
  • Be responsible for client analytics in terms of engagement and resourcing metrics
  • Contribute to topical and thought leading commentary on the use of quantitative tools and techniques in our industry, and the trends and themes we are observing
Qualifications:
  • 4-6 years' experience in client coverage and/or quantitative background
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant subject i.e. mathematics, economics or science based disciplines
  • Demonstrated success in a sales capacity
  • Target-driven with a proven sales / prospecting process.
  • Solid understanding and comprehension of the Equity market
  • Proficient in excel
  • Strong client focused sales and account management style, with confidence in calling and pitching to clients
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Self-starter, entrepreneurial spirit
  • Series 7 ad 63 preferred but not required. *LI-SG1
