The Role Responsibilities
Provide direct support for incident, change, problem, and release management, as well as "business-as-usual" Production Support requests through the application of expertise in database technologies such as SQL, Oracle, and Sybase, and the network infrastructure. Ensure the stability of Derivatives Front Office production environments, ensure that all IT applications and interfaces are available and performing within their expected capability. Work on the trading floor, analyze requirements in real time from users and technical support colleagues, designing and prototyping solutions, through to testing and deployment. Work with computer systems development teams to ensure that root-cause analysis and fault eradication is consistently performed. Use the computer in the analysis and solution of business problems. Analyze and resolve business problems and incidents of varying complexity. Manage incidents and provide regular status reports and progress updates to users. Assist systems development and project teams to deliver changes and improve service operation. Prepare and present management information reports to senior management. Identify and develop new areas for automation of manual tasks to make the system and process more efficient. Ensure that appropriate and adequate monitoring is in place for all applications. Adhere to Change Control and Incident/ Fault Reporting Standards to ensure that reoccurring issues are resolved through the Problem Management procedure. Propose and develop solutions for complex system problems. Communicate resolutions and enhancements to stakeholders for outages, releases and updates on tasks .
Must have a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, plus five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in the position offered, as a Programmer Analyst, or related position. Must have five (5) years of experience in each of the following: Providing trading systems application support by applying knowledge of Pricing, Profit & Loss, Risk, Fixing, and Settlement derivatives trading products across Commodities, Credit, Foreign Exchange and Rates business; Utilizing UNIX, Shell scripting, SQL, Oracle, Sybase and networking technologies; Working with Traders and Sales staff, and Middle office and Compliance teams to facilitate business expectations, implementation, and resolution of issues; Implementing and maintaining automation using Shell or PERL scripts scripting languages; Linux performance monitoring and maintenance; Configuring and operating centralized batch scheduling tools such as Autosys or Control-M; Supporting trade booking applications by responding to user requests and system alerts; and Supporting vendor-supplied computer software .
HOURS : Full time; Mon - Fri (40 hours per week); EOE.
