The Governance and Controls group for Americas Capital and Resolution Planning (ACRP) provides centralized oversight of the Governance and Control frameworks that cover both the IHC's Capital Planning and Reporting Processes (CCAR), as well as Recovery and Resolution Planning (RRP) -- including providing management information reporting to senior partners.

The Governance and Controls - Assurance function in particular works in partnership with business and change functions across the IHC to identify and resolve key weaknesses and limitations that impact capital planning and resolution processes, including escalation and reporting to senior management and regulators. This includes (1) management of regulatory assessments with quality assurance performed against the results, (2) coordination and tracking of responses to regulatory feedback (MRA/MRIAs), and (3) management and quality assurance for follow-up actions identified as part of Review and Challenge processes, especially those which impact regulatory submissions.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Overall expectations:
  • You will contribute to the ongoing design and implementation of governance and control standards for the Americas Capital and Resolution Planning program
  • You will cultivate strong relationships with senior members of other functions to promote consistency and collaboration, as well as be a model for positive cultural change
  • You will facilitate cross-functional collaboration and identify areas of improvement to help understand and resolve issues, delays, and gaps related to regulatory expectations and execution of associated capabilities
  • You will lead or contribute to special projects to solve for gaps and actively improve execution of capabilities, crafting and mobilizing new cross-functional teams as needed
  • You will establish documentation to ensure standardization, quality, consistency, traceability and adherence to firm-wide standards and regulatory expectations

Regulatory Assessments:
  • Report and maintain status against all supervisory expectations/requirements with effective change control
  • Ensure that assessment results adhere to high internal standards for consistency, completeness and accuracy and would withstand high regulatory scrutiny
  • Collaborate with functional areas to ensure gaps are resolved according to schedule; identify, understand and challenge delays
  • Automate tracking and reporting processes where possible
  • Produce clear and coherent summary reports of results to provide to senior management and regulators

Regulatory Commitments (MRA/MRIAs):
  • Report and maintain status against all instances of regulatory feedback with effective change control
  • Consolidate remediation plans and provide quality assurance against responses for external and senior management reporting
  • Collaborate with functional areas to ensure gaps are resolved according to schedule; identify, understand and challenge delays
  • Coordinate with Compliance/Regulatory Affairs team and assist with information requests / reports as needed

Review and Challenge Tracking:
  • Attend R&C meetings and support complete and accurate action capture, including assessment of impact on results and regulatory submissions
  • Collaborate with functional areas to ensure follow-up actions are resolved according to schedule; identify, understand and challenge delays
  • Provide quality assurance against owner responses and closure evidence to ensure adherence to internal standards
  • Maintain actions in the internal tracking system and generate MIS for reporting to senior management

You Offer
  • You have risk and regulatory implementation and execution experience, including CCAR, DFAST, RRP or other similar regulations
  • You are experienced with complex business transformation and program delivery (e.g. Risk and Regulatory implementation, Finance Transformation, IT Transformation)
  • You have the ability to collaborate and influence senior leaders to challenge, enhance, and improve overall deliverables and work products
  • You successfully drive initiatives independently while working with others to achieve team goals

Strong analytical skills with experience including but not limited to:
  • You are familiar with MIS reporting and presentations for senior or executive-level management
  • You have very strong Microsoft Office skills with a high level of technical proficiency, especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • You are an excellent communicator with the ability to influence others and champion meetings
  • You work well under tight deadlines and high-pressure environments

Work and relevant experience:
  • Must have 3-4 years of experience in business analysis or similar project/program management role
  • Master's degree in Economics, Business, Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or similar
  • Strong regulatory background in financial services desired, particularly RRP and CCAR
  • Ability to operate at a strategic level while also being delivery focused and detail oriented
  • Exception interpersonal/influencing skills and ability to make compelling business cases
  • Project management certifications (PMP, etc.) are a plus
