RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS Duties: Vice President with Goldman Sachs Bank USA in New York, NY. Function as a Senior Developer for the Shared Services Team within the Credit Cards Department of Marcus, the Firm's online retail bank that offers consumer loans and online saving products. Develop and maintain core and reusable platform components as part of the new Marcus Credit Card Business. These components and frameworks are used across the overall credit card platform. Examples include real-time data streaming frameworks based on MongoDB, Apache Avro and Apache Kafka in order to push millions of records of data in real time from the customer-facing transactional system to the Marcus Data Warehouse. Responsible for the architecture, requirements gathering, development, performance, scalability and maintenance of the Notifications Service, which pushes millions of notifications per day to customers. Must be willing to work with proprietary technologies, but no knowledge of a proprietary technology is required pre-hire. Expecting two direct subordinates.

Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree (US or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Must have five (5) years of experience in the job offered or related role. Must have five (5) years of experience with: performing Java Development; working with Enterprise Object Oriented frameworks, such as Spring, Boost or similar; RESTful web services and Microservices design and implementation; messaging technology using distributed and high-throughput messaging platforms, such as Apache Kafka; NoSQL Databases, such as MongoDB; Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) Tools, such as Git or Subversion; utilizing continuous integration tools such as Jenkins or Bamboo; leveraging build tools such as Maven or Gradle; automated testing and test-driven development using Junit, embedded Kafka and Fongo; working directly with Business, Product and Legal personnel to gather and define software requirements; and working and communicating effectively with various global teams to define, develop, gather requirements and test software development solutions. Must have one (1) year of experience with utilizing recruiting and interviewing skills to assess junior level personnel candidates.
