The Financial Control Group (FCG) is responsible for overseeing the accounting and financial and regulatory reporting for the Firm. FCG prepares external financial reports for public filings and regulators. For internal reporting FCG, along with Financial Planning and Analysis (FPA), summarizes, plans and forecasts the organizations financial position, including income statements, balance sheets, and analyses of future revenues, expenses and earnings. FCG is comprised of Business Unit Controllers, Infrastructure Controllers, Accounting, Regulatory and Reporting groups, and Valuation Review

Responsibilities Include:
Accounting support functions, which include but are not limited to:
-Month end close
-Balance sheet reconciliations
-Variance analysis and ad-hoc reporting
-Procedure documentation
-Ad-hoc projects/requests

Handle and coordinate audit inquiries from:
Internal Audit
-D&T
-RCSA/FinRisk
-SOX
-Regulatory Reporting

Work with business partners across the firm including but not limited to:
-Financial Advisor Compensation
-Business Unit CFOs
-Operations
-Regulatory
-IT
-Legal
-Tax

Qualifications:

- Bachelors Degree in Accounting
- 7-9 years experience, 3+ years accounting experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team
- Strong accounting and analytical skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access
- Experience managing a staff
