The Personal Investing (PI) Finance organization is seeking a successful Financial Analyst III candidate to provide financial support to the Fidelity Investment Life Insurance Company (FILI) business unit. FILI distributes propriety and non-propriety annuity and life insurance products to retail customers through PI's Branch, Regional Center and direct sales channel. FILI also provides on-going administration support to customers that purchase propriety products.

The Expertise We're Looking For

  • • Bachelor's degree required (preferably in Finance, Economics or Accounting)
  • • A minimum of two years' work experience as a Financial Analyst or similar role
  • • Solid understanding of Financial Services Industry


The Purpose of Your Role

You will work as part of a four person team that supports the FILI business unit. The primary responsibilities of this team include: CFO decision support through the preparation and presentation of a monthly business review, analyzing commissions earned on third party products, supporting product economic decisions and providing on-going finance support to the FILI business unit and broader PI organization.

The Value You Deliver

  • You will lead the preparation and presentation of a monthly business review and other reporting required by the FILI business unit and broader PI organization.
  • You will reconcile and analyze the commissions earned from third party annuity and life insurance product sales.
  • You will work with business partners to ensure effective expense oversight / business investment.
  • You will work with your finance colleagues to develop the annual budget and multi-year financial plan.
  • You will Identify, research, monitor and report on trends impacting business performance.
  • You will develop financial models to facilitate decision making.


How Your Work Impacts the Organization

The annuity and insurance products that PI distributes enables our customers to save for retirement, generate guaranteed lifetime income during retirement and / or receive lump sum payments. This role prepares and presents a monthly business review to the CFO and members of the FILI business unit that analyzes the current financial and competitive environment. The results of this analysis are used to make actionable product and pricing decisions.Company Overview
