Financial Analyst IV-V

Fidelity Investments is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to support Personal Investments Regional Centers and Investor Centers (Distribution) in a line finance capacity.

The Expertise We're Looking For

  • A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or equivalent training
  • Minimum of 5-8 years of more advanced financial analysis/operations work experience
  • MBA or CMA preferred

The Purpose of Your Role

The individual will be responsible for working with Central Finance as well as business partners within the Regional Centers and Investor Centers on their business planning and ad hoc analytical needs.

  • Your budget management experience, with strong ability to participate in planning, implementing and ongoing monitoring of budgets.
  • Your ability to manage a broad portfolio of work; must possess excellent planning, prioritization, and project management skills
  • Your ability to make decisions within a broad context with little oversight or guidance
  • Your strong analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills as well as ability to make independent decisions and manage projects
  • Your ability to work independently across the organization while demonstrating strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Your extensive understanding of financial/accounting principles and the ability to implement these principles in daily work.
  • Your expertise in computer spreadsheets (Microsoft Excel) and modeling software as well as management information systems (Hyperion Essbase, Oracle Discoverer, and Oracle Business Intelligence) is preferred.
  • Your awareness of Marketing Effectiveness challenges and best practices

The Value You Deliver
  • Providing in-depth analyses of underlying business trends.
  • Supporting Distribution Effectiveness with financial analysis
  • Providing proactive leadership on financial and business issues to improve decision-making
  • Accessig and interpreting extensive data from FCAP, PL, CPP, Essbase, Oracle and other financial systems
  • Working with Distribution to develop multi-year plans including cost, benefit and sensitivity analyses
  • Working with Distribution develop annual business plans and budgets
  • Providing ad hoc business and financial analyses as needed by Distribution and senior management
  • Developing presentation ready materials to communicate recommendations
  • Supporting semi annual Fund Profitability reporting and analysis
