IT Release Analyst/Release Engineer



Your role
Do you have a knack for technology? Are you at your best when supporting others? We're looking for someone like that to:

– handle deployment of application releases across various environments (QA, UAT, Production and BCP)
– follow ITSM/ITIL methodologies and adhere to existing release management procedures and policies with respect to coordinating releases and managing projects
– work with team lead to enforce and control coordination of releases and management of projects associated with release delivery
– escalate all non-conformance related issues and risks to team lead and assist with follow-up/ mitigation and resolution
– develop procedures to support release coordination and control procedures for applications, configurations and infrastructure
– proactively seek automation and efficiency improvement opportunities to reduce non value added activities
– document each release and maintain a knowledge database

Your team
You'll be working in the Release Management Team (RMT), based in Nashville. RMT is part of a Business Application Support team supporting the IB Corporate Client Solutions division. RMT works closely with the development and application support teams to ensure stability of the production environment is a top priority and post release deployment incidents are minimized.

Your experience and skills
You have:
– at least 5 years of experience in Release and Deployment and Change Management Policy, ITSM and ITIL best practices
– solid Oracle DB, PL/SQL, WebSphere, Apache, Tomacat, Java, Autosys, Informatica, Linux / Unix and Shell Scripting skills
– minimum 3 years of experience with deployments in Autosys , Business Objects & Informatica
– SharePoint web environment & . NET deployments or similar experience.
– good release documentation experience
– knowledge of release automation processes

– a person with good organizational and communication skills
– eager to apply automation to seek continuous service improvement in reducing non value added activities
– keen to learn new technologies and build a solid understanding of the business context of the applications
