Position Description:

At PIMCO, the Business Intelligence (BI) team is responsible for delivering platforms and solutions that help us extract maximum value from our data. We are working with our sales, product and marketing teams to build solutions that identify the right product for the right client at the right time. As part of this journey, we are looking to upgrade our BI platform to move from traditional reporting to more modern, self-service BI techniques and tooling. You will be excited about the technical challenges of being a part of building a governed, scalable self-service platform for all levels of tech and data business.

What you will do:

Summary: Drive adoption of Power BI at scale

Marketing (Email, Social, and Community):
  • Understand usage metrics and patterns and design appropriate strategies to improve adoption
  • Create and lead an internal website
  • Build and handle internal blog
  • Segment users and maintaining DL's
  • Send monthly newsletters to our three user segments: business users, analysts and developers
  • Send weekly training summary
  • Prepare for annual tech forum and tech expo
  • Maintain an active community on slack
  • Planning and leading targeted campaigns.
  • Marketing campaign to support analyze increase/decrease feature or campaign to improve adoption rates of users who are not logging in.
  • Run contests to increase adoption through competition

  • Identify and curate the best training and provide links from the website
  • Host "Dashboard in a Day" training classes
  • Host "Applied BI" - 30-minute presentations in which internal users explain how they use Power BI to seek their business problems
  • Weekly/Monthly office hours where users can ask questions
  • "Power BI Days" - Twice/year invite Microsoft onsite to talk through their roadmap
  • Record gif's/videos for new reports/dashboards

Position Requirements:

  • 6+ years of total experience
  • 4+ years in a Product role
