The Manufacturing Services Leader plays a critical role in the success of RRHTC in ensuring that our facility and equipment are operating to an optimal level for the development of Ceramic Matrix Composites, one of the top future technologies for Rolls-Royce.

This person will be responsible for overseeing and managing the maintenance activities at Rolls-Royce High Temperature Composites. The individual will also be responsible for managing the team of maintenance technicians, and acting as the interface with ISS FM on-site.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Responsible for managing the manufacturing services activities and interfacing with on-site facilities management contractors
  • Responsible for determining priorities and schedules for preventative maintenance activities according to process and business needs, including internal PM's and those performed by vendors.
  • Develop and maintain service level agreements for equipment maintenance, or advise where SLAs (Service Level Agreements) are not required.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain a maintenance strategy for bottleneck and critical equipment.
  • Support engineers and staff members on Capital Expenditure projects, tracking these to completion, and interfacing with Group Property as required.
  • Communicate job status frequently and effectively with sponsors, stakeholders and customers.
  • Develop continuous improvement techniques to improve both manufacturing services and customer departmental processes.
  • Clearing roadblocks and obstacles to executing daily schedule and other action plans
  • Champion RRPS (Rolls-Royce Production System) in manufacturing services, including creating SQCDP goals and metrics, OEE measurement methodology, and executing strategic plans.
  • Manage work of hourly employees and contractors as needed, utilizing principles of high performance culture to motivate employees and drive performance.
  • Ensure compliance to all HSE standards for department.
  • Ensure that budgets are maintained for site and group, and costs are monitored in line with budgets.

Basic Requirements:

  • Associates Degree and 10+ years of experience in manufacturing or engineering, OR
  • Bachelors Degree and 6+ years of experience in manufacturing or engineering, OR
  • Masters Degree and 4+ years of experience in manufacturing or engineering, OR
  • JD/PhD, OR
  • 14+ years experience in manufacturing or engineering in lieu of degree
  • In order to be considered for this opportunity, you must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident
  • Prior leadership experience required

  • Prior experience leading cross functional teams
  • Certified Reliability Leader - CRL
  • Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional CMRP
  • Certified Asset Management Assessor CAMA
