The National manager will be primarily responsible for managing the hedging for all company currency and interest rate risk.

A global financial services company is currently searching for a passionate and responsible Treasury, a National Manager for the Rate Desk & Derivatives, to join their Treasury Department. The National manager will be primarily responsible for managing the hedging for all company currency and interest rate risk. Additionally, the National Manager will be tasked with leading a team of two and constantly watching commodity, currency, equity, fixed income and interest rate markets to adapt hedging strategies and offer recommendations regarding market developments that have impact on the company's cost of funds. This role will report to the General Manager and the Head of Markets and Liquidity. Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Derivatives Program, the Rate Desk Function and Watch Financial Regulations.

  • Manage the Derivatives Program:

    • Utilize derivatives with the purpose of accomplishing a pre-set goal on interest rate position, including eliminating any hedges which are associated with debt, ABS and loan instruments/securities issuance.

    • Constantly evaluate commodity, currency, equity, and fixed income markets and the global economy to seek trends and enhance market view.

    • Watch and evaluate all derivative counterparty credit risk.

  • Manage the Rate Desk Function:

    • Control several lines of business for available market inputs, such as market color, new loan/product pricing, prepayment calculations and rate locks.

    • Attend Credit Committee as Treasury representative and present some perspective into cost of funds and liquidity for dealer lending activities.

    • Effectively communicate monthly updates to senior executives at ALCO meeting, include current initiatives, funding highlights and market updates.

  • Watch Financial Regulations

    • Actively watch the global regulatory framework and assess impacts to company Treasury activities.

    • Create and implement federal legislative and regulatory priorities and take-part in DC Fly-in to present company regulatory priorities to Congress.

    • Engage in lobbying efforts through trade groups and create responses to regulator requests for comment letters on behalf of the company.

    • Evaluate the impacts of potential regulatory risk and create preventative measures.

Qualifications:

  • Masters/MBA or graduate degree in Finance or Economics.

  • Great with hands on management of derivative programs exceeding $20B in trading volume.

  • Extremely advanced knowledge of and ability to discuss the way in which macroeconomic factors affect the market and changes in interest rate.

  • Prior knowledge of Bloomberg, Numerix, Intex, Reuters and WallStreet Systems.

  • Prior experience with SQL, VBA, Tableau.
