Dallas-based financial firm is looking for a sharp junior analyst with an interest in working for one of the nation's top hedge funds. The ideal candidate would be someone with a BA or BS in quantitative subject from a top university, an inquisitive personality, and a passion for learning about the intricacies of hedge fund portfolio management, risk management, and operations.


  • Assist with managing the firm’s proprietary security master platform 
  • Directly support trade operations across all portfolios and all asset types 
  • Experience with a wide array of financial products including bonds, structured products, loans, CDS, equities, options, private equity, real estate investing, distressed credit, global debt and equity markets, derivatives, etc. 
  • Ensure accurate setup of listed and OTC securities 
  • Responsible for governance over trading-related data including security attributes/analytics and position-level characteristics
  • Direct coordination with many of the firm's various divisions: software developers, business analysts, compliance, trading desk, risk management, fund accounting, operations, etc.
  • Manual set up of a wide assortment of alternative investment types utilizing publicly available data, third-party vendor data, and primary data sources (trade recaps/credit agreements/term sheets) 


  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative finance field; alternatively, economics with experience in data manipulation
  • Open to learning new products and a passion for financial markets
  • Nice to have -an understanding and interest in bonds, options, and financial markets and securities
  • Nice to have - Intermediate to Advanced MS Excel skills, including pivot tables and v-lookups.
  • Nice to have - Knowledge of Bloomberg Terminal and API: creating and pricing custom OTC derivatives within Bloomberg
  • Nice to have -Strong database/SQL knowledge is a requirement
  • Nice to have -Credible understanding of financial market products and Bond math
  • Nice to have - Understand the effect that changes in prices and other data elements have on the market value of an account and be sensitive to these changes.
  • Problem-solving ability and a general understanding of statistics
  • Excellent communication skills (Verbal/Written/Presentation) as this role requires daily interaction with a global team
  • Self-starter, team player, and collaborative mindset toward technology and business partners
  • Prior experience working in finance or economics
  • Prior experience of working with data manipulation techniques and visualizations
  • Strong quantitative and computer skills that include VBA, Excel, macros, SQL with experience in creating reports
  • Only candidates who are Permanent Residents or US Citizens will be considered
