RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS Assistant Closer (Analyst/Associate) RMD Closing :
The Goldman Sachs Legal Department in Dallas, TX has an opening in the Realty Management Division (RMD) Closing Team for an Assistant Closer having at least 3 years of experience in closing real estate related transactions. RMD is focused on a wide range of real estate activities and transactions, including acquisition, disposition, financing (both lending and borrowing), construction, development and asset management. Asset classes include office, retail, multifamily, hospitality and industrial. The Assistant Closer position will provide support for many facets of the closing process related to these types of transactions, as well as general transaction project management. Excellent organizational, project management and customer service skills are required. The candidate must be a self-starter, have excellent verbal and written communication skills, be proficient in Word and Excel, and enjoy working in a team environment.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Project management duties, such as the coordination of new transaction "kick-off" meetings and the maintenance of internal closing checklists
  2. Participate in transaction pipeline meetings, which include business teams and various other supporting groups
  3. Monitor the due diligence process from term sheet/contract execution to closing
  4. Work with outside counsel on document preparation
  5. Work with internal business teams to ensure transaction process follows compliance guidelines
  6. Manage document execution and delivery
  7. Update closing binders
  8. Preparation of closing statements, including income and expense proration schedules
  9. Generally assist with the disposition of real estate investments, including, but not limited to, ordering and monitoring title reports and appraisals, assisting with the preparation of closing documents, supporting the business team with the collection and provision of disclosure information to counterparties
  10. Prepare sources and uses of funds
  11. Monitor cash flow
