The Legal Division's mission is to advance and protect the interests of the firm by providing the highest quality legal advice. Central to our mission is the identification and provision of advice with respect to the resolution of legal, regulatory and reputational risks. As part of the firm's second line of defense, Legal helps ensure that the firm's activities are conducted within the boundaries of the law and consistent with preserving and enhancing the firm's reputation. Merchant Banking Legal
Provides legal, regulatory, reputational and transactional advice to our Merchant Banking business and also supports certain other principal investing groups across the firm. RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide support to Closers in the process of closing high balance commercial real estate transactions to ensure closing expectations are met as well as finalize post-closing items. Duties include, but are not limited to: coordinate, manage, redact, extract and organize large volumes of data and files on demand, order flood determination letters, pay invoices, sanction and regulatory screenings, deal tracking, manage internal and external permissions to proprietary cloud-based document storage site, update policies and procedures as necessary. The Candidate will interface with Borrowers, Brokers, internal and external Legal Counsel, Servicers, IT, Third Party Vendors and Business teams. Qualifications required:

- Strong organizational and analytical skills with a high degree of accuracy and strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, Word and Adobe Acrobat (experience with shortcuts for quickly moving, renaming, sorting and extracting mass amounts of data and files)
- Working knowledge of Commercial Real Estate documents preferred
- Identify and escalate risk
- Ability to work with agility in a fast paced environment with demanding time lines
