Firm Risk Management
Firm Risk Management (FRM) enables Morgan Stanley to achieve its business goals by partnering with business units across the Firm to realize efficient risk-adjusted returns, acting as a strategic advisor to the Board and protecting the Firm from exposure to losses as a result of credit, market, liquidity, operational, model and other risks.

You will collaborate with colleagues across FRM and the Firm to protect the Firms capital base and franchise, advise businesses and clients on risk mitigating strategies, develop tools and methodologies to analyze and monitor risk, contribute to key regulatory initiatives and report on risk exposures and metrics to enable informed and strategic decision-making. Post-closing and Servicing Quality Control sampling
Responsible for the timely and accurate selection of monthly random and discretionary samples in accordance with departmental procedures.
Assign reviews to internal and external analysts
Monitor adherence of the internal and external service providers to service level agreements for accuracy and timeliness
Update results on the QC and Loan Origination system software
Onboarding vendor analysts
Provide feedback to quality control vendors.
Perform Credit Quality Control and Servicing Quality Control reviews within SLA timeframes.
Validate Compliance with underwriting guidelines and servicing procedures.
Document and communicate the results of the reviews.
Review and validate preliminary review results from internal and external partners.
Validate responses to quality control findings.
Monitor quality findings and their resolution.
Comply with the quality control testing standards.
Recommend reasonable corrective action relative to quality control findings.
Provide timely loan level reports of QC findings
Follow-up with the Business Unit to validate remediation of loan level findings.
Appropriately raise and/or escalate problems and issues to management.
Assist with monthly reporting
2-3 years credit or servicing experience in the mortgage industry.
Quality Control experience in mortgage lending a plus.
Strong understanding of mortgage lending including underwriting, operations & servicing
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently with attention to detail
Ability to make decisions and propose recommendations to mitigate or reduce risk to firm
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite of products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
