Systems Specialist, People Technology and Analytics will support the operational performance of People Technology systems. This position will be the main point of contact for the Learning Management System (LMS) and will have additional responsibilities in other People Technology systems; monitor the support inbox, answer questions, and troubleshoot problems by phone and email. This role will handle daily utilization and maintenance of the LMS and other systems. Specific to the LMS; upload courses and attachments, automate on-boarding requirements, manage reporting, and coordinate annual regulatory/compliance curriculum as applicable. Responsibilities will also include proactively provide guidance on upgrade needs and future functionality, work with People Development team members and subject matter experts to review and update content, identify methods to improve productivity and growth via use of People Technology systems.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Primary technical liaison between the LMS and the People Development team. Analyze and support the day-to-day information needs for the People Development team.
  • Coordinate with the People Development team to ensure the support of all new content development initiatives.
  • Monitor background processes to ensure the LMS system is available for its intended purpose.
  • Maintain system configuration, roles, securities, and permissions within the LMS and other systems as assigned.
  • Act as the main point of contact for troubleshooting system issues of the LMS and other systems.
  • Monitor and support the LMS and other People Technology inboxes by successfully completing open tickets to resolution, supporting the end-user experience.
  • Design and generate standard and custom reports of the LMS and other systems.
  • Responsible for LMS modifications and release schedule maintenance. Load and test all content, both downloadable and online.
  • Coordinate across stakeholder groups to develop procedures, policies, and best practices for People Technology systems as assigned.
  • Update skills by participation in the LMS community, learning groups, and other forums to keep current on best practices and industry trends.
  • Engage in People Technology and Analytics special projects, as assigned.


  • Bachelors Degree in information systems, human resources, or related field; or associates degree, or equivalent combination of training and work experience.
  • Learning Management System experience a plus. Information Technology systems experience preferred; system maintenance/support, update management, vendor relations.
  • Demonstrates strong communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Exhibits strong project management skills with a proven ability to advocate for change and achieve successful results.
  • Consistently demonstrate the ability to adapt to changes in the work environment; juggle and manage competing tasks and demands; and deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to take the initiative to establish priorities, meet deadlines, and make decisions within the functional area of responsibility with minimal direct supervision.
  • Demonstrates excellent organizational skills and attention to detail; prioritizes multiple tasks and programs and completes them under time constraints.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrates excellent client service skills.

    Computer Skills:

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have working knowledge of Learning Management Systems or other related Information Technology systems, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and internet navigation/research.

Working Environment and Physical Demands:

  • Standard indoor office environment.
  • Occasional requirements to work in early morning or late in the evening to support system upgrades or time driven projects.
  • Long periods of sitting while working at a computer.
  • Position requires regular interaction with Ryan personnel and vendors both in person and via e-mail and phone. Independent travel requirements Less than 2%.
