We are looking for a Commissioned Bank Examiner / Risk Specialist to lead and participate in examinations and inspections as part of our continuous supervision model for banks and bank holding companies in our Regional Banking Organization portfolio. You will accomplish this by assessing risks and risk management practices associated with credit, operational, liquidity, market, legal, compliance, and overall governance frameworks of supervised organizations. We prefer you to be based in San Antonio, TX.You Will:
Partner with other safety and soundness examiners in a team environment to effectively execute supervisory plans for Regional Banking Organizations in the San Antonio region.
Analyze bank policies, procedures and controls related to safety and soundness examinations and inspections.
Collaborate with examiners, risk specialists, representatives from Texas Department of Banking and analysts from the Board of Governors to recommend a variety of regulatory assessments.
Develop organized work papers to document your analysis and support your conclusions.
Build and maintain strong relationships with examination team members and business lines.
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, audit or other business related field of study.
Minimum of five years of relevant experience in banking, financial services, or banking supervision.
Bank Examination Accreditation preferred.
Strong communication and analytical skills as well as solid problem solving abilities.
Familiarity with any of the following considered a plus: fiduciary activities, government and/or municipal securities dealers, capital markets, credit risk, enterprise risk.
Equivalent education and/or experience may be substituted for any of the above requirements.
