Provide non-personal professional services to assist with planning, coordinating, conducting, and leading the activities of a team conducting protection program higher headquarters assessments at Army installations. Assist with coordination on schedule, criteria, resourcing, and data gathering and plan for, execute, document, and report the findings of installation assessments as part of a team. Use various automated tools, databases, and other software programs to support assessment activities and train others on their use. Prepare observations and recommendations to installation leadership and staff, assist the team lead with preparing and delivering briefing materials, and collaborate with active duty and civil service government staff, counterparts across Army organizations, and other government agencies. Perform and coordinate with colleagues in multiple program areas, including threat actor options, physical security, security and infrastructure engineering, emergency management, and information operations, emphasizing fire protection. Provide career management for direct report staff. This position will require working extended hours, outdoors, and sometimes in austere conditions and travel of up to 25% of the time and is located in San Antonio, TX.
5 years of experience with the fire department, including in a DoD environment
5 years of experience with assessments
Knowledge of DoD risk management concepts in a mission assurance environment
Ability to present findings and recommendations to senior leaders
Ability to obtain a security clearance
HS diploma or GED
Certified Fire Officer IV, Fire Inspector II, and Fire Instructor II
10 years of experience with assessments
Experience with leading fire protection risk management efforts for a DoD organization
MA or MS degree
