Our client is a UK investment manager. It has a multi-year change roadmap to support its growth plan, alongside a continuous cycle of process improvements. The role is in the Business Change team, reporting to the Head of Change.The roleA genuine hybrid: you'll analyse business problems and define requirements, then own delivery through to deployment.Business analysis• Elicit requirements from SMEs and stakeholders; write clear BRDs covering functional and non-functional needs• Map as-is and to-be processes, with an eye on the data model and target operating model• Assess new change requests and initiatives for impact on the operating model• Produce cost-benefit analyses and business cases for executive approval• Act as the bridge between the business, IT and Business ChangeProject management• Own projects from initiation to deployment: planning, vendors, resources, legal agreements, risks and issues• Run working groups and steering committees• Own and monitor project budgets; manage change requests on scope and cost• Agree milestones with stakeholders and escalate clearly when they move• Challenge proposed solutions so they fit the target operating modelWhat you'll bring• Project and BA experience across multiple functions at an investment manager, asset owner or pension scheme• Business process modelling, requirements elicitation and operating model definition• Experience writing or contributing to business cases• Solid grasp of project management methods and techniques• Understanding of end-to-end investment management processes, systems and data• Exposure to investment operations – collateral, securities lending, reporting – and client-facing functions• Sound understanding of IT software and infrastructure• The ability to explain technical topics to non-technical audiences, and to challenge constructivelyWhy this role• A visible role in a smaller organisation, close to the exec team• A multi-year roadmap, so the work is real and ongoing• Fixed-term initially with a clear route to a permanent position
