Senior Catastrophe Modeller - European Reinsurance

A leading global insurance and reinsurance business is looking to appoint a
Senior Catastrophe Modeller to join its European analytics team.



This is a
hands-on technical role with team leadership responsibility , suited to someone who wants greater ownership without moving away from day-to-day modelling.



You will lead a small European modelling team while remaining actively involved in:

• Preparing and cleansing exposure data.


• Building catastrophe modelling portfolios from raw client data.


• Running models and producing analysis to support brokers and clients.


• Using tools such as Python to improve modelling and analytical processes.


• Reviewing work and supporting the development of junior team members.

The key requirement is strong
end-to-end catastrophe modelling experience , ideally gained within a
reinsurance broker, catastrophe analytics consultancy or modelling business .



The business is particularly interested in candidates who have experience building portfolios from underlying exposure data, rather than solely analysing pre-modelled outputs.



Previous management experience is useful, but
technical capability is the priority . Strong Senior Catastrophe Modellers looking to step into their first meaningful leadership role are encouraged to apply.
