Senior Legal Cashier - 12-Month FTC | £45,000

We're partnering with a fast growing, PE backed law firm undergoing an exciting buy and build strategy, and they're looking for a Senior Legal Cashier to join their expanding finance team on a 12 month FTC. This is a great opportunity for an experienced legal cashier who is ready to step up into a more senior position, taking responsibility across a busy cashiering function while supporting a large team. You'll be managing a high volume of transactions, with the firm processing around 500 to 1,000 transactions per month , and will play a key role in maintaining accuracy, controls and smooth day-to-day operations. This is an ideal role for a Senior Legal Cashier, Deputy Cashiering Manager or experienced Legal Cashier looking for a step up within a growing, PE backed business. Immediate availability is essential .

What you'll be doing

• Managing high volume legal cashiering transactions
• Managing the wider cashiering workload and ensuring deadlines are met
• Handling client and office account transactions
• Supporting reconciliations, payments and banking processes
• Ensuring compliance with SRA Accounts Rules
• Maintaining strong financial controls and accuracy across the cashiering function
• Working closely with the wider finance team and fee earners

What we're looking for

• 3+ years' legal cashiering experience
• Strong knowledge of legal cashiering processes and SRA Accounts Rules
• Experience working in a busy, high volume law firm environment
• Previous experience supervising or supporting junior cashiers
• Confident managing competing priorities and taking ownership
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
