Standard Chartered has appointed headhunters Heidrick & Struggles to look for senior management.
Heidrick & Struggles has been asked to find a deputy to Mike DeNoma, who heads the bank's consumer operations from Singapore. The appointment is expected to be announced at the annual general meeting next year.
Standard Chartered is also looking for an internal candidate to replace Mervyn Davies in Hong Kong, after he became chief executive.
It is understood that Peter Wong, the head of the Hong Kong operation, and DeNoma are among favoured candidates. The search for senior staff comes as the bank's' management is under scrutiny from shareholders.
