The Bank of England has handful of graduate vacancies for a September 2008 start. Analyst positions are available in banking services, financial stability, markets, monetary and financial statistics and in the notes division.
Applicants will need a 2:1 degree in a numerate or analytical discipline and 300 UCAS points to apply.
A spokesman for the Bank of England says the vacancies are part of an extra recruitment drive, ahead of the new Banking Reform Bill next year (reading up on Northern Rock and its aftermath would be good move).
Apart from the usual communications and team work skills, the Bank wants people who "have a real interest in being at the centre of things."
Deadline: 15th August 2008. Click here for more information.
