The Assistant Relationship Manager (ARM) will support the Financial Sponsors team in managing relationships with private equity firms, investment funds, and sponsor-backed companies. The role involves assisting with credit analysis, transaction execution, portfolio management, and client servicing.
Key Responsibilities
- Support Relationship Managers in covering financial sponsors, private equity firms, investment funds, and sponsor-backed corporates.
- Prepare credit applications, annual reviews, financial analysis, and industry research.
- Conduct financial statement analysis and assess credit risks of borrowers.
- Assist in loan execution processes, including documentation, drawdowns, and covenant monitoring.
- Monitor portfolio performance and identify potential credit concerns.
- Prepare client presentations, account plans, and call reports.
- Coordinate with Credit, Legal, Compliance, Operations, and other internal teams to facilitate transaction execution.
- Assist with syndicated loan and structured finance transactions.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or related disciplines.
- 2-5 years of banking experience in Corporate Banking, Credit Analysis, Leveraged Finance, Structured Finance, or Financial Sponsors coverage.
- Strong understanding of credit analysis and financial statements.
- Exposure to private equity, investment funds, leveraged finance, or sponsor-backed transactions is an advantage.
- Good analytical and financial modelling skills.
- Knowledge of lending products and credit approval processes.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Fluent in English and Chinese (Mandarin preferred).
- Experience supporting Financial Sponsors, Leveraged Finance, Acquisition Finance, or Corporate Banking teams.
- Familiarity with private equity funds, fund structures, and syndicated lending markets.
- Exposure to Greater China and cross-border financing transactions.
