6 month contract (temp to perm) - £180-200/day umbrella - Hybrid working
 
An exciting opportunity has opened for one of my key clients who are looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join their busy finance team on a temp to perm basis. This role suits a self-starter with prior office or finance experience who is eager to support core purchase ledger operations.
 
This would suit someone with a few years of AP experience under their belt already. My client are looking for someone who can show strong self-sufficiency and proactivity.
 
Key Responsibilities
• Manage the shared accounts payable inbox, ensuring emails are reviewed, organised, and followed up promptly.
• Process and input supplier invoices accurately into Oracle NetSuite alongside supporting documentation.
• Assist with payment runs, employee expense payments, and urgent ad hoc transactions.
• Perform daily bank matching and reconciliations, escalating any discrepancies.
• Handle internal and external supplier queries professionally via phone and email.
• Maintain clean and up-to-date supplier records and purchase ledger documentation.

 
Requirements
• Previous experience gained in an accounts payable role
• Familiarity with accounting systems, with Oracle NetSuite experience considered a distinct advantage
• Strong organisational skills, high attention to detail, and a meticulous approach to data entry.
• Confident communication skills and a professional, approachable telephone manner.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office tools.
• Minimum of 5 GCSEs (grades A-C or equivalent); AAT studies or fundamental bookkeeping knowledge is a plus.
