Neil MacKinnon has been appointed as a senior currency strategist at Merrill Lynch, based in London. He will develop short-term investment strategies for clients and will work with the global economics team to form Merrill's long-term outlook for world currencies. MacKinnon, who will report to Jim Winder, the New York-based manager of global economics, joins from Citibank where he was chief currency strategist. He also previously worked for Yamaichi International as head of investment strategy. Mark Luboff has been appointed finance director of Dresdner RCM Global Investors, reporting to Andreas Grossmann, managing director. He has been acting finance director since the end of 1998.
