Formerly an executive director of Financial Objects and AFA Systems, Finlay has more than 15 years' experience in the global financial software market.
His role will be to market Raft's software components and consultancy services to existing clients as they are moved across to Microsoft's .Net platform. He will also be responsible for growing Raft's business in the areas of wealth management and investment banking.
Raft uses over 1,000 software components in its building-block approach to providing faster financial software solutions, and signed up European institutions Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein, Baring Asset Management and Lehman Brothers to upgrade using Raft's components last year.
The company raised 7m last October when it floated on the Alternative Investment Market (Aim), capitalising at 42m.
