Management and staff at Liffe, London's derivatives exchange, stand to share more than 11m (€17.7m) if it is taken over for 400m, as seems likely.
The two most senior executives would collect more than 500,000 each.
The London International Financial Futures & Options Exchange said last week it was the subject of rival takeover approaches from several parties, including the London Stock Exchange.
At least one potential bidder is understood to have suggested a price of about 15 a share. This would value the 751,750 shares in management and staff hands at 11.3m. Sir Brian Williamson, chairman, owns 34,061 shares.
