Citigroup has promoted David Ludlow, a central European client coverage banker, to head of investment banking for the Middle East, and Guillaume Hannebelle, a Paris-based European equity salesman, to head of equities distribution for the region. Both will re-locate to Dubai.
Ludlow joined Citigroup in 1995 and has spent the past eight years covering central European clients across M&A, equity and fixed income.
Hannebelle, who joined Citigroup in 1992, was previously head of Citigroup's equity warrants team in France before taking an equity sales role. He will be responsible for marketing the full range of equity products to Middle Eastern clients.
The moves follow the appointment of Mohsin Nathani, previously co-head of debt capital markets Asia Pacific, as head of corporate banking for the Middle East.
Earlier this year ABN Amro re-located six bankers to its Dubai office as part of a push to expand its corporate and investment banking capabilities in the Middle East and Africa.
The six are led by Ragheed Shanti, ABN Amro's former head of credit markets in Latin America.
