Put your questions to the head of graduate recruitment at Credit Suisse (Part III)

Following our previous Q&A sessions (here and here) with Jim Richardson, the head of graduate recruitment for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) at Credit Suisse, we're giving you the chance to put your questions to Jim one last time.

As before, we've started the process by asking a few questions of our own below. Feel free to ask yours by posting them in the comments box at the bottom of the page. We will be selecting three a day for Jim to respond to between October 27th and 29th inclusive. Only the questions that Jim answers will be published. QUESTIONS ARE NOW CLOSED.

1) Is it true that it's become a lot harder for students from outside the European Union to get jobs in banks in the UK?

At Credit Suisse in London we have not found this to be the case. In the Europe, the Middle East and Africa, visas are sponsored, both for internships (except Investment Banking Operations) and full-time roles, should a business need require it. We cannot guarantee the outcome of any applications.

2) Do you offer fast track applications to people who received full time offers after completing a summer internship at a rival bank?

No, we do not have a fast track system in place for students who have completed an internship at another investment bank. All candidates need to apply online at www.credit-suisse.com/careers.

3) Have you started interviewing for 2010 graduate places yet? If so, what percentage of vacancies have you filled already?

We are about to start interviewing for our full-time graduate roles however as our deadline is not until 20th November 2009 we are still accepting and reviewing applications. We have not yet started interviewing for our Summer, Autumn or Spring Programs.
