Question:

How many weddings are there in Germany in a year?

Student’s answer:

I guessed a random number not understanding that it was the method that was the important part. I was then told to work through it logically so they gave me a rough population size, then we segmented it into the number of people who would be of marrying age (e.g. 20 - 30) - so roughly 1/10 of the population to make life simple. I then divided that by 2 as only one wedding per couple and said it would be somewhere between 30-60% of the 20-30 age bracket divided by two.

Question:

How tall is the Citypoint building?

Student’s answer:

Being more clued up by now, I guessed that the height of the room I was in was X cm high, then multiplied that by roughly 40 floors to give the answer (which apparently was very close to the actual number, you live and learn!)

Question:

Describe yourself in three words.

Question:

What is your biggest flaw?

Question:

Give me an example of when you showed decisiveness.
