A software engineer at hedge fund Brevan Howard emailed to complain about his treatment
As we reported in May, hedge fund Brevan Howard is building a software hub in India. As it does so, it appears to be having small teething issues.

Brevan has yet to open its Bangalore office. It is hiring there and aspires to employ 100 people working across multiple functions. In the run-up to the launch, it's been employing contractors, some of whom have been offered full-time jobs and some of whom have not.
One of those who has not been offered a full-time job last week emailed the entire Bangalore team, plus Brevan Howard CEO Aron Landy, plus the Indian HR director, plus CTO Mike Sanders, and various members of the technology team in Abu Dhabi.
The contract engineer concerned didn't respond to a request to comment on his email, which has been seen by eFinancialCareers. In it, he complains that he received an email from Brevan Howard management which demonstrated "narrow-mindedness" and "evil intentions." Indian employees have families, he added. People can be let go "gracefully." Managing people is about being "large hearted" and is as much about considering human beings as the needs of the company.
Senior managers who do not consider this method of employing people and who act unfairly may find themselves subject to the wrath of the gods, added the unwanted engineer. "Remember your wordly designations position of power, does not allow you to boost your temporary ego, which could be drained into ashes (sic)," he concluded.
Brevan Howard declined to comment. The email appears to have caused a sensation among recipients in India and beyond, some of whom suggested it was also in response to a clampdown on the work from home policy. It will presumably not change the employment status of the sender.
