Accounts released for BlueCrest Capital Management LLP, the partnership, and for BC Capital Management Services Ltd, which provides services to the partners, reveal that last year was a fine year for the fund, which was previously a hedge fund but now manages Platt's personal fortune.

BlueCrest's 46 partners received an average profit share of £959k ($1.3m) each in the year to March 21st 2025, up from £498k the year before. The firm's other 321 employees received a 14% pay rise, to £534k each.

BlueCrest also disclosed pay for seven material risk-takers, who earned an average of £4m each, and said it paid £1.8m in guaranteed pay and severance payments.

Revenues at the partnership went from £52m in 2024 to £130m in the year to March 2025. A handful of hires were added to BC Capital Management Services, where headcount increased by six people.

Portfolio managers have a preference for working for BlueCrest because it pays them 30% of profits versus a standard 20% elsewhere. However, success requires the successful navigation of Platt, who has strong opinions about how his money should be managed.
