Erika Singer joined Goldman Sachs Asset Management in London earlier this week as an MD in the firm’s financing and debt capital markets group. She joined Goldman after seven years at RBC in the city, where she was also part of the financing team, and where she was made MD in 2021.
Goldman decline to comment on the move.
Goldman is focused on growth in its financing business, which it's identified as having "significant demand" from clients. At last year's investor day it said that the move to private assets was "one of the most important structural trends taking place in finance" and it set up the Capital Solutions Group (CSG), led by Pete Lyon and Mahesh Saireddy.
Singer will not be part of the new CSG group. She does however say that her role will include "assisting [Goldman's] Private Equity and Infrastructure investment professionals and [its] portfolio companies in securing optimal capital structures," which Alternative Credit Investor said in January is part of the group's mandate.
